HackerAgency Expands North American Talent Footprint: Kate Kemp Hired as Group Creative Director, Carrin Johnson Promoted to VP of Operations
Seattle (May 3, 2016) – HackerAgency continues expanding its North American talent pool, announcing today that it has signed Kate Kemp as Group Creative Director and promoted Carrin Johnson to Vice President of Operations. The duo of powerful female talent reflects HackerAgency’s continued focus on diversity and expansion and follows on the heels of the announcement that Julie Rezek is joining the agency as North American President in June.
Clients such as Amazon, Heineken, AT&T, Nintendo and Pepsi have previously turned to industry pro Kemp for her award-winning thinking, strategy and execution. Prior to her joining HackerAgency, Kemp’s extensive agency career included work at Tribal DDB, The Marketing Arm and Geometry Global.
Kemp reports to HackerAgency Global Chief Creative Officer Haydn Sweterlitsch, who stated, “Kate is a fantastic addition to the team. She is an accomplished creative with an outstanding eye for what’s next. Creative leaders like Kate bring the future-focus clients need in this era of hyper-relevance in CRM—which requires more complex, immersive creative throughout the customer journey.”
Making creative flourish requires an Agile approach to project management, and Johnson, who reports to CEO Spyro Kourtis, has been an instrumental leader in spearheading this at HackerAgency. She began the initiative while in her previous role as Director of Operations.
Explaining why Johnson and the Agile approach have been beneficial to clients, Kourtis said, “The Agile process has helped strengthen alignment between HackerAgency and clients, which has improved collaboration while enabling quick pivots and faster performance improvements.”
While Kemp comes from New York and Johnson has risen from within HackerAgency, Rezek joins from a competitor. “These leaders’ varied perspectives, experience and skills demonstrate our dedication to bolstering the agency’s offerings,” concluded Kourtis.
