SEATTLE, WA (April 15, 2015)--Seattle-based digital/direct marketing agency HackerAgency announced today that it is the recipient of a Bronze ECI Award, given by the International E-Commerce Innovation Association (IECIA).
HackerAgency work on behalf of clients Microsoft Bing and Volkswagen China was entered into the ECI Award contests. The Microsoft Bing work won a Bronze ECI Award for marketing innovation, and the Volkswagen China work was shortlisted for the ECI Award for technology innovation. In both categories, the work demonstrated HackerAgency’s advanced analytics and innovative technology offerings, which bring actionable insights from client data, helping clients improve marketing efficiency and performance. In addition, General Manager for HackerAgency operations in China, Cindy Huang, sat on the jury to evaluate entries in non-competitive categories.
This is the inaugural year of the ECI Awards, which honor innovative e-commerce marketing initiatives, commending efforts for business model, product or service offerings that bring groundbreaking ideas and performance to the global digital market. The IECIA introduced the ECI Awards in China in part to showcase Chinese e-commerce success and accelerate global e-commerce innovation and industry development.
“Our work on behalf of Microsoft is the first global work we undertook after becoming a global company last June,” said HackerAgency President and CEO Spyro Kourtis. “These awards are a testament to our approach and our teams’ ability to collaborate effectively across multiple time zones. I’m very proud of this work.”
Stephan Horvath, HackerAgency Global CMO, presented the keynote presentation at the awards ceremony. He focused on trends in e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) in China and on a global scale, as well as challenges marketers face in today’s fast-paced world.
“We’ve been working on a digital acceleration strategy for Volkswagen Group in China now for five years,” he added. “Our ability to continually improve consumer engagement with social, mobile, websites, online stores, offline events and any possible touch points drives lead generation and customer loyalty. As the technology landscape changes, we’re showing that we’re up to the challenge of meeting not only the Chinese market, but the global market head-on.”
