CONTENT MARKETING & CRICKET WIRELESS

Leveraging the Lead of the Right Kind of Social Influencer

Cricket Wireless gained customer loyalty in a sea of switchers by offering reliable coverage, affordable pricing, and à la carte feature add-ons. As part of their expansion, they introduced international calling to their add-on features but that presented some new and unique challenges. One of which was the need to convince a largely Latinx prospect audience who was previously won over by the competition. Cricket called on us to get the word out and position them as the prepaid carrier that keeps you connected internationally. And, we answered with content marketing.

Keeping Content Marketing All in the Family

We knew we needed to identify a unique group within the Latinx segment so that our message was sent and received in an authentic way. The answer? Talk to mom.

Latinx moms have strong sway in the family, community, and online; so we knew we’d benefit from their help to create awareness. It was this guiding insight that lead to the enlistment of ten influential Latinx mom bloggers-turned-Cricket-ambassadors, into the Blog Influencer program.

It couldn’t be just anyone—these women were hand selected due to the strong relationships they’ve cultivated with their readership and for their excitement about the Cricket brand.

THE language of RESULTS

We were able to create great awareness by using influencers through social media amplification, and native and rich media ad units. In most cases, the results blew typical industry benchmarks—and client expectations—out of the water. Engagement rates on the blog posts were doubled, social impressions were 302% over goal, and Cricket site traffic was over 4x the norm.
